Green Living Part Two: Pic A Flowee

24 May

The younger members of our clan refer to any divine blossom as a flowee.  I think it started with our first and just stuck.  However, for this post, I’ll try to act my age.  I said I’d try.  No promises.

Flowers and Photography.  One of my favorites.  Flowers, Children and Photography, my Absolute Favorite! My camera has a special setting on it just for closeups of flowers.  I tend to use that setting a good bit, but learning how to take good ones in manual mode is definitely a goal many of us shoot for.  Pioneer Woman has some great tips for that here, and here, and here.  The lady just speaks plain English.  I love it.  This post will give you some inspiration to get out there and shoot.

See what I mean!

And if you are super serious about your pics, check out Kent Weakley’s e-classes.  You could learn how to shoot this.  I again offer my disclosure.  I am no where near what you might call good at photography.  But, I keep trying.  Maybe I’ll get there one day.  My husband takes great shots.  He’s just got the eye.  So, if you see any good ones here, chances are pretty good that he took them!

Today, I thought we would highlight some of my favs.  Here we go!

Have fun!  Oh, and head over to my facebook page, like it and post some of your pics.  Can’t wait to see them.

Love the flower pictures! I need to work on taking some more (and just using my camera in manual) Wish we could take a class together or even just sit down and work through a good series or tutorial :)
