Coat Branch Upcycle

21 Jan

It’s baaaaccckkkk! Yes, I guess you thought Monday’s Upcycle was a thing of the past.

Honestly, I kind of wondered myself a few times.

Well.  Remember this from the Christmas Mantel?

Meet her slightly shorter twin sister, also rescued from the side of the road.

The Coat Branch.

Y’all.

This thing has made my life tons easier.  I am super thrilled with how it turned out.

Now, I will tell you right now, it was not my brain child.  Nope.  This one belongs to my oh so talented husband.  Good grief!  He has more artistic ability in his pinkie, than I have in my whole body.  I love it. DSC_0260

So, he used these things from the hardware store which he tells me are called hose clamps…to attach the log.

Then, we just use S hooks (Or Grundtal because that’s just fun to say!) from an old shelf we had from Ikea to hang the coats.

It’s perfect. I love it.  Got any creative ways you hang your hat….. or coat?  We would love to hear them.

See you next time.  If you haven’t yet, won’t you take a sec to subscribe to my RSS feed?  Thanks a bunch.

    Love this Wendy!

and when winter is over you can hang pictures or something else on it. I remember seeing a really cute picture on Pinterest – can’t find it now, but it was something like this – http://pinterest.com/pin/225109681343914581/
