Did you have a great weekend?
Shew! I’m still catching my breath from last week. Some organizing projects with my man and his area, birthday party prep for my baby who is now 10! (Oh My Word!) Swim Lessons—which were awesome and some great God opportunities all wrapped up in one!
So, without further ado, on to Today’s Upcycle.
Thrift Store Find. Cheap. Cheap. $2.50 for two.
One can spray paint. Did you know they make oil rubbed bronze spray paint?
Nothing fancy, just an easy quick inexpensive update on some brass lamps.
How ’bout you? Had any spray paint projects you’re just dying to share? Let us know.
So it would seem that I’m all about the plastic ware these days. First here, now this.
This is the best wreath for a buck I’ve seen. I hope you like it too.
Here’s all you need and how I made mine.
Plastic spoons. (I got mine at Dollar Tree and they came 48 in a pack…I used 46)
10ish minutes….great project to do with kids. Mine helped.
I played around with the positioning for just a second before I committed with the glue.
Then, I added a dot of glue here…
And a dot of glue here…
Then just 45 more to go.
And that’s it. I did pause at some spots and held it in place just to let it dry if it seemed to be separating.
Lovely. Like the laurel wreaths the Greeks love.
I was first inspired to do this about two years ago when I saw this.
Here’s another example of some with colored spoons.
I think this upcycle proves anyone can have a pretty wreath even on a tight budget.
Hello! And glad you’re here.
Today, as promised, we will link up our favorite upcycle posts…..and we’ve decided they can be your choice.
Now, if you do not blog, please send me a picture (by email) or a link to your picture either through flicker, instagram….whatever you use.
I’ll get those up the same day you send them…..
Linky reminders just in case it’s been a while since you hopped into a party. Please be a dear and link back to Rockin’ What Ya Got in your post highlighting your upcycle.
And…surprise! I’ll be choosing two or three upcycles to feature next week, so can’t wait for you to share your projects and your passion!
Thanks for stopping by and sharing!
